Marvel Rivals: Every Secret & Easter Egg in the Eternal Night Update

The Marvel Rivals mid-season update has dropped, and it’s packed with secrets, hidden details, and references that die-hard Marvel fans will love. From Dracula’s dark influence over Central Park to nods at potential future characters, here are 20 Easter eggs you don’t want to miss in Season 1.5!

1. Squirrel Girl's Hidden Base & Helicopter

The map starts in Squirrel Girl’s treehouse, where you’ll spot her very own personal helicopter—the Squirr-Gig. This deep cut references the wacky and over-the-top nature of her comic book adventures.

2. A Board Game Foretells the Future

Inside Squirrel Girl’s base, there’s a Tomb of Dracula board game featuring figurines of Squirrel Girl, Blade, and Dracula himself. The kicker? The small print on the box reads: "This game is a work of fiction, and any resemblance to real-life events is purely coincidental." Given that these events are happening in Marvel Rivals, it’s a clever fourth-wall-breaking joke.

3. Dracula Owes Moon Knight Money – CONFIRMED

As you approach Castle Dracula, different characters will comment on the sight. Spider-Man quips about landlords draining New Yorkers dry, but Moon Knight’s line is the real gem:
“Dracula’s here? Good. That bloodsucking nerd owes me big.”
This line references an iconic meme from Tumblr where Moon Knight angrily demands money from Dracula. The fact that it made it into the game? Legendary.

4. The Fantastic Four Banter is Top-Tier

New additions The Thing and Human Torch bring classic Fantastic Four energy. Their interactions with the Hulk are hilarious, with Ben Grimm calling Hulk “ugly” and Hulk firing back with threats. The chemistry between these powerhouse characters adds personality to the game.

5. Wolverine is a Living Football

Yes, you read that right. The Thing and Hulk can literally play catch with Wolverine, tossing him back and forth like a football. The sheer chaos of this interaction makes it one of the best hidden details in the game.

6. Throg Exists in Marvel Rivals

When speaking to Ratatoskr (the Norse squirrel who runs up and down Yggdrasil), Thor references a frog with a hammer protecting the forest in his absence. This is a direct nod to Throg, the amphibian version of Thor who wields a tiny enchanted hammer. Could we see Throg as a playable character in the future?

7. Dracula's Castle is Hiding a Bloodstorm Reference

One of the many Dracula portraits inside his castle features a mysterious vampiric figure—Bloodstorm. This character, a vampiric version of Storm from X-Men, once served as one of Hydra’s vampiric shock troopers. Could she make an appearance in future updates?

8. Blade's Daughter is Mentioned in The Daily Bugle

During the mission, a Daily Bugle article appears, reporting on Blade’s disappearance. It mentions that if anyone has information, they should alert Brielle Brooks—Blade’s daughter, aka Bloodline. First introduced in 2022, Bloodline carries on her father’s vampire-hunting legacy. This could hint at her joining the roster.

9. Deadpool's Accidental Marriage to a Demon

One of Dracula’s paintings includes Shiklah, a centuries-old demon Deadpool was hired to kidnap—only for him to accidentally marry her instead. This is a deep cut referencing a hilariously chaotic Deadpool storyline.

10. The Victory and Loss Cinematics Explained

The mission revolves around the Montessi Formula, a spell that can wipe out all vampires—including Blade and his daughter. This is why heroes are split into two factions:

  • One side believes in using the formula to eliminate Dracula and all vampires.
  • The other side wants to target only Dracula to avoid harming Blade.

The game's outcome could set up future events depending on which ending becomes canon.

11. Human Torch Tries to Become a God

Johnny Storm asks Thor if Asgard needs a God of Fire, only for Thor to shoot him down, saying Surtur already fills that role. Storm then suggests he could be the God of Awesomeness, which Thor hilariously claims is already taken—by himself.

12. A New Connection to the Negative Zone

Johnny Storm’s Negative Zone skin is a reference to a Marvel arc where he was trapped in an antimatter dimension and forced to fight in a gladiator-style tournament. The in-game quote is pulled directly from this comic.

13. The Thing's Trench Coat is a Classic Throwback

Ben Grimm’s trench coat skin references a comic moment where he struggles to find clothes that fit. The in-game quote mirrors this scene word for word.

14. Gravestone Hunt for Hidden Names

If you look closely, gravestones in Central Park feature hidden names and references to past Marvel characters. Keep an eye out for any familiar names!

15. The Missing Sunset in the 3rd Stage

One of the stages is missing the sun in the skybox, making the entire area feel slightly different. Whether this was intentional or a bug is unclear.

16. Secret Bloodline Messages

Some graffiti in the game includes the word Bloodline, which may be another hint at Blade’s daughter.

17. The Dracula Statues are Breakable

Some of the statues of Dracula around the map can actually be destroyed. Breaking them even triggers a small achievement!

18. Ghost Rider's Hellfire Could Come Next

There are scattered demonic-looking symbols in the castle, which could be a tease for Ghost Rider as a future character.

19. Storm's Lightning Interacts with Fire

If you use Storm’s tornado ability, Human Torch can ignite it into a firestorm. This interaction isn’t just visually stunning—it also deals extra damage.

20. There's a Secret Message in the Darkhold

If you manage to pause at the right moment, the Darkhold’s pages contain cryptic, glowing text. Some players speculate that this might hint at an upcoming event.

The Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 update is packed with hidden gems, deep lore, and fun character interactions. Whether it's a nod to Moon Knight memes, subtle references to potential new heroes, or interactive secrets, there's plenty to uncover.
